Delivering CPAC
Great Britain
In July 2026, the Media Values Foundation played a leading role in delivering CPAC Great Britain in London, bringing together political leaders, media figures, and civic voices for open debate on the ideas shaping Britain’s future.
This is our mission in practice. A healthy media landscape depends on spaces where ideas can be tested openly, where independent voices are heard alongside established ones, and where civic engagement is treated as something to be built, not assumed. Organising CPAC GB gave us the platform to do exactly that, convening the conversations that too often struggle to find a home in mainstream coverage.
It also reflects the principles at the core of our work: Independence, by creating a forum free from the narrow gatekeeping of a handful of media institutions; Civic Engagement, by giving attendees direct access to the debates shaping policy and public life; and Media Literacy, by modelling what substantive, good-faith discussion looks like in an increasingly polarised media environment.
For the Foundation, delivering events like CPAC GB isn’t a departure from our media work, it’s an extension of it. Strengthening local and independent voices means giving them real platforms, not just column inches.
